Dr. Einstein's hometown is Stamford. He graduated from Ripowam High School as valedictorian. He then graduated from Brown University in 1973 and Yale University School of Medicine in 1978. He trained in internal medicine at Rhode Island Hospital, finishing in 1981. After one year working in the emergency room of Pawtucket (R.I.) Memorial Hospital, he opened a practice with his wife, Dr. Claudia Gruss, in Georgetown. They practiced together until 2000, when they joined the practices of Dr. Alan Radin and Myra Skluth to form Arbor Medical Group, LLC.

Dr. Einstein is the medical director of Aurora Senior Living of Norwalk. He is active in the state and county medical societies and is board certified in internal medicine. He served for eight years on the Region 9 Board of Education (Joel Barlow High School) and was on the Redding Board of Ethics.
